Dr Jon Scott Walker is a Minnesota native and earned his B.S. from Oral Roberts University in 1978. Dr Walker received his M.S. in Physiology from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in 1980. Dr. Walker graduated with Honors from the New England College of Optometry in 1984 earning his Doctorate in Optometry.

For 13 years he practiced in Minnesota and North Dakota in a multi-disciplinary setting. He was a member of the Minnesota State Board of Optometry for 8 years and was the Minnesota Optometrist of the Year in 1988. He has been active in research and lecturing across the United States and Canada for over 25 years.

He has worked as a consultant for Vistakon, Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc; Ciba Vision; Optos; Vistakon Pharmaceutical; Barnes-Hind and other medical device and pharmaceutical companies for over 25 years. He has published since 1978 in numerous medical and optometric journals in the United States and Europe, including the medical textbook Panoramic Ophthalmoscopy. He was involved in the development, design and project management of several contact lenses and holds 3 patents associated with contact lens and IOL designs.

He was awarded his Fellow from the American Academy of Optometry and is active in his professional organizations. In addition, he has written and co-written several songs that have been recorded including the award nominated song Rain Down and the CD Been To The River as recorded by JR Roberts. He joined Dr. Ted Brink & Associates in 2000.
